Design Visual

Art direction and photography systems that make a catalogue look like one company

Visual design is what happens after the identity: the crop, the light, the treatment, and the rules that let forty different photographs, illustrations and screenshots read as one voice. We build the system and shoot the first set, so there is something to compare against.

Why it matters

Most brands do not fail on their logo. They fail on the hundredth image, made by somebody who was not in the original meeting and had no way of knowing what the rule was. A visual system is the difference between a brand that gets stronger as it publishes more and one that gets blurrier.

Our approach

We audit what already exists, find the two or three decisions that are doing the work, and write them down as rules a photographer or an in-house designer can follow. Then we make the reference set — real assets, not mock-ups — and hand over the files, the presets and the reasons.

Perfect for

Teams publishing constantly: ecommerce catalogues, editorial and content teams, event organisers, and any company where more than one person makes images in a week.
